The Bridal Experience: Top 5 Wedding Beauty Services Every Bride Should Have

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and you want to look and feel your best. While choosing the perfect dress is crucial, don't forget about the beauty services you need to enhance your natural beauty. Instead of DIYIng every at-home face mask, waxing kit, and sunless tanners consider our network of experienced and talented beauty professionals. We work with amazing vendors to make your beauty needs a one stop shop when it comes to wedding planning ❤️

Our bridal package allows you to customize the services you need for all things beauty including luxury hair and makeup services, facials, spray tanning, and on-site touch-ups for that celebrity treatment. Whether you book through us or not, I HIGHLY recommend these services to get you GLOWING for your big day.

One week before your wedding is the perfect time to get a custom facial to bring out that bridal glow. A facial is a great way to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin before your big day. It can also help you relax and feel pampered, which is important during a stressful time like wedding planning.

A professional facial can help you address any skin concerns you may have, such as acne, dryness, or fine lines. Some concerns may take a series of appointments to clear up, so if you’ve got some serious skin goals, I recommend reaching out to an esthetician at least 6 months before your wedding. With this timeframe, you can come up with a good plan together for your ideal bridal glow.

Bella Sante in Bluffton offers a range of facials that cater to different skin types, including sensitive skin. Their facials include cleansing, exfoliation, and treatments that help to hydrate and brighten the skin. You'll leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, with glowing skin. I highly recommend booking an appointment asking for their Hydrafacial, which is AMAZING and gives the ultimate glow. Make sure to tell them Shae sent you!

Invest in a professional blow out the day before your wedding. It will guarantee you have great, clean hair for your ceremony look AND it will look perfect for your rehearsal dinner. A blowout will leave your hair looking shiny, healthy, and full of volume, and make it way easier for your day-of stylist to give you the bridal look you are dreaming about. A blowout can also help you get rid of any frizziness or flyaways, keeping your hair smooth all day!

If you’re local to the Beaufort area, check out Shear Vintage! For my Bluffton-area brides I recommend the stylists at Parlor.

Get rid of any unwanted upper lip or chin hair and have your eyebrows beautifully shaped with waxing. Not only will you achieve that smooth and clean look, a fresh wax is also a great way to exfoliate your skin.

If you have any waxing that needs to be done before the big day, do NOT wait until the day before! You want to make sure the redness goes down before coming in to get your makeup done.

Make sure to choose a skilled esthetician who uses gentle techniques that cause minimal discomfort, leaving you with flawless skin. I recommend seeing Liz at Lowcountry Aesthetics.

A spray tan is a great way to give you that sun-kissed glow on your wedding day, no tan lines necessary! Brides can have a healthy and natural-looking tan without the need for harmful UV rays, and spray tan can also help even out your skin tone and give you a more radiant look.

One of my favorite local vendors who offers a spray tan among other services is Kathleen Anne Artistry Beauty and Body. She pays great attention to details and will make sure you have exactly the look you’re going for.

A massage is the perfect way to relax and destress before your wedding day, and it is . Relieve some of that tension and HOPEFULLY get a good night’s sleep so refreshed on your big day. This would be a great way to spend your bachelorette weekend or as a gift to bridesmaids too!

Locally, I always recommend Evergreen Bodywork. Carlie specializes in deep tissue massages and provides other modalities such as, hot stone & Swedish massages too!

Your makeup preview is the designated time for you and your stylist to create your bridal look together. During this appointment we look at your inspiration pictures and determine what you like the most about the look. We also talk about the facial features that you want to highlight or downplay as well as any allergies you may have that may impact products we use. Next, we create a look based on these factors and then review it together to see if you’d like any changes made. After you leave my studio, you’ll be able to see how the makeup wears throughout the day so that you’re 100% confident on the wedding day !

Little extra 💗: You’ll also be so familiar with your makeup and hair artist that you may as well become besties 🤞🏼
